Having just finished University and being about to graduate with a Degree in English and French I can safely say that I'm astonished at how quickly this year has flown by. With essays, assignments and articles for the student newspaper coming out of my ears, my year abroad in France simply faded into the distance and now feels long gone.
You know that feeling when you've been on an incredible trip but after a few months of hectic life back in the real world it feels like it could simply have all been a manifestation of your imagination? Well that's kind of how the year abroad feels now, so here's a few of my favourite memories to reignite the fabulousness that was my time in France.
No doubt these beautiful snaps will have me yearning to go back to Belle Paris for a whistle-stop tour sometime soon. Let there be fresh baguettes, red wine and a mountain of cheese awaiting me, bien sûr! Brace yourselves folks, this one's a long-un, so now would be the time to grab yourselves a cuppa and a biccy...
One of the most hilarious experiences was visiting Pigalle's sex museum with Emma and Lucy and being confronted with a double ended dildo. Laughs for days.
Discovering French restaurants off the beaten track was another of my favourite past times! Chartier has a glorious reputation and I visited it as my dad had gone to the same restaurant twenty years previous!
Then there were wild nights out...
Don't even get me started on the food...
The art museums and galleries were also rather fun.
Spending my 21st in Paris was an absolute dream to say the least - particularly because my sister came out to visit!
And the best part of it all? Meeting this crazy bunch!
I hope you enjoyed this RATHER long string of memoirs from my time away in France.
Until the next time Paris,
