A Solo Trip To Paris - The single gal's guide

What do you do when you break-up with an ex? Book a spontaneous trip to Paris, of course. My logic may have seemed somewhat flawed...  jet off to the most romantic city in the world, alone. But it turned out to be just what I needed. Here’s my top tips for things to see & do when travelling solo in Paris.

Turning 24 in London

I was lucky enough to spend my 24th birthday in London this year with some bloody great company. I always love heading into the city for my birthday and it was the perfect opportunity to catch up with old uni friends, get out and about and explore with my new Canon 80D.

The Colours of Autumn: Westonbirt Arboretum

There's something magical about autumn. The weather turns crisper, the colour of the leaves gets richer and as you reach for your Winter boots and scarf, you're just itching to get out and about to take it all in. Alex and I recently visited Westonbirt Arboretum for a long walk in the fresh air, and it was the perfect opportunity to capture how stunning this time of year really is.

The London Weekender

Bank holiday weekend called for a little trip up to the big smoke to catchup up with uni mates and my sister, and it was bloody lush. Hopping on the train up to Paddington on Saturday morning, Alex and I headed to Chinatown for a stroll before making our way to the ever-so-colourful Covent Garden where we scoffed THE most delicious pizza at HomeSlice, Neal's Yard.

A Week In Paradise: Kos Island

Two weeks after my holiday to Kos and my tan has already faded. But after a week spent in absolute paradise it's safe to say my memories of Kos definitely won't. I stayed at Lakitira Suites, a five star resort on the South of the Island. Here are a few photos of my time there...

Life in Technicolour: Bristol Aquarium Trip

I've really been trying to get out and about to see some new places over these last few weekends. And a trip to Bristol Aquarium was just the ticket for a relaxing and colourful day out. It's incredible to see the gorgeous array of colours and patterns that nature has come up with, from sparkly gold piranhas to bright sea anemones - these guys really are the best dressed in town!

Berlin: Part 2 - graffiti and gay clubs

Arguably my favourite part of the trip was our visit to the East Side Gallery. A strip of the Berlin Wall that is still standing and that is covered in graffiti and various different artists work. It was so colourful and really impactful to see how something so historically oppressive had been transformed into a key piece of art and modern culture.

Lights of Soho - London

Lights if Soho is one of those seriously edgy, yet super chilled places where you can just waltz in and have a browse at the incredible neon art - absolutely free! There's also a little coffee shop upstairs and a members bar downstairs for what I assume is the odd cosy dj event.

Valentine's Weekend in London

Valentine's weekend can be a tragic affair when you're a single gal. So to save myself from a fate of drinking wine alone, watching Bridget Jones and Sex & the City on repeat and oogling the "hot dudes with kittens" insta account, I decided to go to London for the weekend to catchup with the girls. Holla at me GALENTINES! 🍷💃🏼 For lack of a hunky man on my arm, Friday night was spent being wined and dined by my sister, having a much needed catchup and a giggle.

Un Week-End à Paris: Day 2

On day two of the Paris weekender, c'était mon anniversaire!! Rather delirious from a terrible night's sleep I completely forgot that it was even my birthday as I struggled to turn off my early-bird 7:30am alarm. It was all worth it though, beating the hostel shower queues as well as the breakfast rush.

Un Week-end à Paris: Day 1

Last weekend I turned 23. I wanted to spend my birthday in my favourite city this year, and so, with a strong sentiment of wanderlust, an urge to keep my hand in with the French language and a desire to indulge in some Patisserie-Architecturey-Baguettey goodness, I set off on the Eurostar to Paris.

Autumn Walks

For someone who much prefers the summer season to the cold, dark days of Winter, there's not much I love about the last few months of the year, with the exception of my birthday and Christmas of course! However, I can't deny that this time of the year is beautiful. The leaves all turn a gorgeous burnt orange colour, the mornings see frost settling on cobwebs, despite the treacherous, slippery leaf mush that proves to be quite a hazard!

Weekend in London: Part 2

Sunday was spent roaming around Shoreditch, absorbing all of the culture it had to offer. From the mouth-watering whiffs of Brick Lane's street food stalls, to an array of vintage gems, the hustle and bustle of the streets and the visually stunning graffiti that smothers the place, I was absolutely in my element as I got exploring.

Weekend in London: Part 1

Last weekend I packed my bags and jetted off to London for the weekend, ecstatic at the thought of catching up with my old uni friends and my sister.  Arriving at midday on the Friday I met my sister for a drink at The Refinery in Southwark before heading off for a mooch around Camden.

Oxford, cakes and punting galore.

Last weekend was incredible for a whole host of reasons. Mainly because it was the first time my Uni mates and I had met up all together since graduation day back in July. We jet off to Oxford for a weekend of squad antics to celebrate Emma's 23rd birthday. 🎈🎉🎂 Channelling my inner Mary Berry, I thought I would whip up a storm in the kitchen and make her a cake.
