Behind the scenes at a fashion photo shoot
Empowering women and encouraging expression through clothing is a concept I totally resonate with. Recently I was asked to photograph the new fashion collection from Hannah Davis design. A talented USW Fashion Design Graduate, Hannah needed to put together a portfolio to showcase her work, and her brand ethos and beautiful womenswear collection was right up my street.
We headed to a studio for the shoot, where makeup and hair was fully underway. Whilst Hannah got to work tweaking the outfits, Alex and I got to grips with the lighting - this was my first ever professional studio shoot, so the heads up was much appreciated! It was the first shoot for most of the models, but they were all naturals and a pleasure to work with.
Putting some music on helped the girls feel relaxed and injected some energy and sass into the photos, it was a great way to break the ice too and create a fun atmosphere in the studio.
Here a few of my favourite photos from the shoot.
