GRWM: Pretty in pink makeup & arty thrifted shirt.
Bonsoir tout le monde, I hope your Sunday has been lovely so far! Tonight's post is a really pretty "get ready with me" makeup look, and I'll take you step by step through how I achieved it. I'm also airing the colourful silk shirt that I bought in Berlin for the first time, and showing you how I styled up such a wacky, statement piece. Having cleansed, toned and moisturised, I went in with my all time fave primer - L'oréal Lumi Magique, for a smooth, radiant base. Taking my Real Techniques buffing brush I blended in the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation in shade 100 ivory, for a dewy medium-coverage base.
Next up it was the NARS radiant creamy concealer in shade Light 1 Chantilly to banish those shadowy circles under my eyes - a really full-coverage, creamy product which gives a real highlight to brighten the eye area. The NARS concealer definitely needs to be set with a powder as it creases quite easily - I opted for a translucent setting powder by Rimmel, using my Real Techniques bold metals collection brush 103. The Sleek contour kit in shade light is perfect for sculpting and highlighting and my No7 duo ended brush is perfect for application. I also used the Real Techniques detailed brush to highlight under the brow bone.
You all know that I am OBSESSED with the Soap & Glory Archery brow kit and use it literally every damn day! Today was no exception.
This hot pink Barry M lipstick is really creamy and moisturing and as you can see I've used it to death. Sadly the shade number has rubbed off the packaging because it's so old :(
I used shades burnout, buzz and factory from Urban Decay's Naked Palette 3 to create a pretty soft-smokey look, dabbing a champagne-pearl shadow in my inner corners by MUA.
This Maxfactor colour X-pert waterproof liquid eyeliner in shade 01 deep black is the BEST. It stays on all day long without fading, smudging or budging an inch. I would definitely recommend it to all of you gals who love a jet-black, sleek cat flick which stands the test of time!
Another firm favourite product of mine is the Loréal Falsh Lash Telescopic mascara in magnetic black. Just look at how beautifully long and fluttery it makes my lashes! You can see for yourselves that this badboy is amazing and only costs £10.99!
The finishing touch is a little blush by Bourjois to rosy up my cheeks. I love these little pots, not only do they smell divine but they each come with their own tiny brush and mirror, so are perfectly sized for your handbag! This shade is rose de jaspe. And that's how I achieved this pretty makeup look - easy as pie and pretty as a peach!
This silk shirt is a Berlin purchase and I am so in love with it. I love arty, loose-fitting clothes and this this piece gives a lot of character to the all-black under layers. If any of you happen to find yourselves in Berlin, check out Bintus Vintage & bags (93 Torstraße, Mitte.) I paid €25 for this iconic piece and it's a really nice aesthetic memory of my trip!
