How to style a vintage bomber jacket
Whenever I'm in London one of my favourite things to do is have a mooch around the vintage shops in Brick Lane, Shoreditch. Filled with hipster treasures and quirky items, I couldn't resist the pull of the underground vintage market. It's like Aladdin's cave. I came across a really quirky velvet-look bomber jacket and knew it was love. Most people will either love or hate this piece as it's pretty out there... voilà la pièce de résistance!
I told you it was wild! So, how's best to style such a unique, colourful jacket? I opted for a high waisted mini skirt, sheer black tights and brogues.
These brogues look so stylish but are really hard-wearing and have lasted me yonks. They were approx. £60 from Office.
This lovely skirt is from Topshop and cost me £42 - I adore the asymmetric zip detail. My stretchy grey top is a wardrobe staple from H&M and it looks great with the skirt because it's so figure hugging and doesn't bunch up. Because the fit of the jacket is puffy, a tighter top prevents you from looking like a sack of potatoes.
Chuck on a plummy lipstick (mine's Topshop's Role Model) and a velvet scrunchie and you're well away.
