OOTD: The Tartan Boyfriend Blazer.

OOTD: The Tartan Boyfriend Blazer.

This tartan Missguided boyfriend blazer is a chic, smart addition to any wardrobe. The eyecatching, androgynous fitted piece could easily be paired with a pair of turned up skinny jeans, a plain vest top and ballerina pumps, but today's outfit of the day packs a bit more of a punch in the form of a pleather skirt combo.   Crossing the boundary between pretty and punk, the hot pink Barry M lipstick paired with a neat ballerina bun is flattering with the skater style fit of this pleather ASOS Hearts&Bows skirt, whilst the material itself gives a bit of grit to the look. The black skirt picks up the blazer lining when the sleeves are rolled up, as does the black satchel bag - a preppy yet edgy accessory which keeps in check with the amalgamation of two different styles. The bag was a gift from my housemate Lucy, but I believe it is also from Missguided. Due to the thin stripe pattern of this GAP cotton Tshirt - (which I picked up in the sale for around ยฃ6) - it doesn't clash too furiously with the checker pattern of the blazer. I would steer clear of pairing thick stripes with checker print, in favour of plain white/ more subtle tees.  My watch was a steal from ASOS (around ยฃ15) and my silver rings are all from The Silver Shop in Bath.

It was chucking it down with rain so I happily stomped about in the puddles in my Office girl Oxblood brogue Chelsea boots, as they're patent there was no fear of soggy toes for me! A cooler alternative to classic wellies.

I hope you enjoyed this OOTD post! Thanks for reading,

Bisous,

Georgia
