My oversized denim jacket is my go-to when it's a little nippy. It also reminds me of my year abroad in France as I picked it up from a Vintage shop in le Marais in Paris. (By now you may have cottoned on to the fact that I'm a huge fan of all things French as I study French & English Lit at uni... Hence why you'll find "bisous" (kiss) as my sign off for each post!) This jacket is perfect for those slouchy, relaxed days spent kicking about on campus at uni.
Paired with a pastel pink Topshop top, my hearts&bows faux leather pleated skirt and my vagabond-style boots, it gives a more rugged, tomboy edge to this otherwise girly-chic outfit.
My polka dot denim hair scrunchie is from Topshop and is a cutesy little accessory which complements my minimal jewellery, again I'm donning my tattered old aztek rucksack from ASOS.
Another comfy, chilled style up next...
I'm a teeny bit obsessed with my denim dungarees at the moment - I used to wear them back in sixth form for Alevel art and so tend to pop them on if I'm feeling a little creative and want to paint or draw. I picked them up for around £15 on Ebay and love pairing them with simple striped tees. This one is from GAP and I snapped it up in the sale for under a tenner.
Then there's my undying love for denim shirts and shorts...
Double denim can be a contested choice, so as a rule of thumb I pair contrasting shades together.
My vintage Levi shorts were plucked from the gorgeous (if not slightly overpriced) depths of Urban renewal whilst the denim shirt is another Parisian vintage-shop gem. Predrinks turned out to be a bit of a denim convention the night I rocked this outfit...
I hope you enjoyed a glimpse into how I style up my various denim pieces. Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more fashion chatter.
