Emma Hardie's Moringa Cleansing Balm: A Skin Saviour

Emma Hardie's Moringa Cleansing Balm: A Skin Saviour

Following a bit of a skin meltdown recently, I decided to reevaluate my skincare routine. As a lover of bioderma micellar water, I thought I had the cleanse, tone, moisturise routine down to a tee, but my skin was becoming increasingly dry and and dull despite using a nourishing moisturiser for dry skin.

On the hunt for radiance

I'd heard a lot about Emma Hardie and her Moringa Cleansing Balm being a skin saviour, and so after a bit of research I decided to change up my go-to products and dabble with a more high-end price range.

The Price Point

I purchased the 100ml Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing balm from FeelUnique.com, which came with a face cleansing cloth and a free 50ml sample of the product for £38. (FeelUnique have a 20% off promotion at the moment so if you're looking to try this for yourself then it's a good time to nab it!)

First Impressions  As soon as the product arrived I was eager to try it out, the packaging was classy and I was struck immediately by relaxing and fresh scent of the balm - a blend of orange, mandarin, neroli, jasmine and rose. The first use was a lovely, pampering experience. The oil-based cleanser glides on and a small amount goes a long way as you massage it around the face. Working it in with your fingers, it removes all traces of makeup (including waterproof mascara!) and is removed easily using the cleansing face cloth dipped in warm water.

The method behind the moisture

The cloth is textured differently on both sides - the fluffy side gets into the pores and removes any congestion and the flat muslin side helps to buff any dead skin away. It's important to remove the balm in downward vertical motions to work with the grain of the skin - this helps with lymphatic drainage and also helps to give a toned look to the skin. Packed with vitamin E the balm is extremely moisturising and nourishing and leaves the skin feeling velvety and plump.

Two Weeks On...

I've now been using the product every evening for just under two weeks to remove my makeup, (and in the mornings where I feel like more of a pamper than my Simple face wash). I've continued to use my Simple toner and the L'oréal Triple Active Nourish moisturiser as before.

A must-have for your skin!

Overall my skin feels more vivacious, nourished and soft and my makeup sits a lot more nicely without clinging to any dry patches. I look forward to my cleansing routine way more now because every time it feels like a pamper session and I would recommend the balm to anyone looking to introduce a more high-end product into their routine. Whilst it is more expensive, a little goes a long way and the product is suitable for all skin types, so why not give it a go yourself!?

Thanks for reading lovelies!
