Sequins and Prosecco Picnics

Sequins and Prosecco Picnics

Bonsoir tout le monde, I hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday in the sun! This weekend has been looovely and today's post is a rather classy outfit of the day from my picnic in Bath. C'est très chic, with classic culottes, lace and a tapered sequin blazer.

With prosecco, strawberries and Vogue's June issue at my fingertips, it's safe to say that I was in picnic heaven and I felt like a classy lil lady living la vie de luxe. This was swiftly ruined by my gluttonous consumption of cheese, baguette, and jam tarts amongst other delicious treats. (All I can say is je regrette rien!) Check out how beautiful the Royal crescent is in the time lapse Vid - the perfect spot for munching some grub!

With a classic matte red lip, minimal eyes made up of a feline flick and lashings of mascara, my makeup looked very 1950's pinup girl. I also got a little creative with my hair and discovered a beautiful new style through trial and error!

To create this classy up-do,I simply parted my hair to the side, Dutch braided my hair diagonally, leaving a little fridge tucked behind my ear as I plaited to the end. Then instead of leaving the plait loose I clipped the end of the plait above the start with bobbypins to create a double-braid effect. Spritz on a little L'oréal Elnett et voilà la coiffure est complét!

Part of what makes this outfit so stunning is the pairing of loose-fitting casual-chic garments with the figure hugging lace bralet. The eye is drawn to the vertical stripes of the trousers, elongating the legs and creating the illusion of a tall, graceful figure. For a tiny 5"2 gal like myself, anything that makes my legs look longer and elegant is welcomed!

The sequin blazer is the real show-stopper here. Though undeniably eye catching and glitzy, the loose waterfall design makes this easy-to-wear from day to night, so you can go from picnic to party with no need to change! I wore my Ozzy & Deema patent brown loafers for the picnic, but a pair of sling back brown leather heels would look equally classy.

J'adore cette tenue! I hope you enjoyed reading my lovelies - don't forget to give this post a like and of course follow PrettyDaring for more fashion, beauty & lifestyle insights!

Gros bisous,

Georgia.
