LUSH: The Sacred Truth face-mask review
When the weather's bitter cold, you want to pamper your skin as much as possible. What better way to give your face a bit of a glow than to indulge in a Lush face mask? Recently I've been reaching for The Sacred Truth mask. The label boasts that it's made up of "anti-oxidant wheatgrass, ginseng, green tea and enzymic fresh papaya." But there's also honey, soya yoghurt, primrose oil, Shea butter and coconut oil in the mix which all help to make your skin as smooth as a baby's bum! At around £6, it's an affordable mask which works wonders for dry skin. The LUSH assistant advised me to use this a couple of times a week as opposed to every day, as the ingredients are meant to revive and enhance the complexion and focusing on anti-aging. The texture is quite thick and feels/looks rather like smooth peanut butter. So it's best to slightly wet your face first before applying so the product doesn't drag. The smell is a little hard to pinpoint, but lavender and honey notes definitely come through.
I left the face-mask on for 10-15 minutes before washing off with warm water. My skin was left feeling velvety and plump, and I also noticed that my pores seemed to reduce in size after a couple of uses. The mask considerably helped my usual, dry problem patches around my nose, which is a miracle because they're pretty stubborn. Overall, it exceeded my expectations and I'll definitely be repurchasing.
